What are Timed Auctions?

In timed auctions, there is no auctioneer running an auction in the auction room. There is only a time-limited bidding window. The bidder who places the highest bid wins (provided the starting price is met). You can recognise a timed auction by the end time displayed on the lot page.

If you tell us the maximum amount you are willing to pay, our system will automatically bid on your behalf, keeping you at the top up to your maximum bid. Your maximum bid remains confidential.

If your maximum bid is outbid, we will notify you by email to give you the chance to still win the lot.

If a bid is placed in the last 10 minutes, the auction is automatically extended by 10 minutes.
